Calling all aspiring inventors! In this hands-on camp, students in grades 4–6 will dive into the world of innovation by exploring famous inventors and their game-changing creations. Then, they’ll take on the challenge of designing, building, and testing their own inventions. With collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving, campers will transform everyday materials into something brand new. Days of ‘76 Museum; 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; $50 for members and $55 for non-members. Space is limited and reservations are required. Scholarships are available. BASIC JEWELRY MAKING Join artist Tara Barney with Red Door Creations in this basic jewelry making class. You will learn the tools of the trade and basic jewelry making skills in this class. Learn the tools and components needed to make a bracelet and matching pair of earrings. You will learn how to attach a clasp, earring wires and more. You will be using semiprecious stones and learning of their origins, as well as how the stones are cut.This is a ONE hour class. So grab a friend, make your reservations, and join us for a creative afternoon.Maybe even follow up the class with lunch in one of the many great restaurants DTSF has to offer!IMPORTANT NOTE: This class will be required as a prerequisite to more advanced classes in the future.
